Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of September 21 to September 25.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
PSE&G will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Wednesday, September 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Taylor Avenue & West Merchant Avenue.
Barrington
Crews will be working on Third Avenue on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Reading Avenue and Clements Bridge Road.
Camden
· Crews will be working on Federal Street on Monday, September 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane closure and parking restrictions at the intersection with Broadway.
· PSE&G will be working on Broadway on Monday, September 21, and Tuesday, September 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Broadway between Atlantic Avenue and Jefferson Street.
· Crews will be working on State Street on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25,
- from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Pine Street and Mt. Vernon Street.
· Crews will be working on River Avenue on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. From Monday until Wednesday, there will be a full road closure between East State Street and the Conrail/River Line Railroad Crossing. From Monday until Friday, there will be a full road closure between East State Street and Federal Street. On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be a full road closure between East State Street and Federal Street.
· Crews will be working on Newton Avenue and Broadway on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Newton Avenue between South 5th Street and South 6th Street, and a lane shift of Broadway between Walnut Street and Mt. Vernon Street.
· PSE&G will be working on Haddon Avenue on Tuesday, September 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between White Horse Pike and Ferry Avenue.
· PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Tuesday, September 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between South 35th Street and South 36th Street.
· PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Wednesday, September 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between North 33rd Street and North 34th Street.
· PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue on Thursday, September 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a lane shift between White Horse Pike and Cedar Avenue.
Cherry Hill
· New Jersey American Water will be working on Cropwell Road on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Marlowe Road & Kresson Road.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25. On Monday and Tuesday, from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., there will be lane closures at the intersection with Springdale Road. Paving operations will be delayed on Monday night until 8:00pm, to allow traffic for Yom Kippur. From Tuesday to Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic with westbound flaggers between Middle Acres Lane and Marlkress Road. On Wednesday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be milling and paving of multiple local side street intersections using lane closures.
· Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Chapel Avenue.
· Crews will be working on East Cuthbert Boulevard on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a southbound lane closure and sidewalk closures between North Park Drive in Cherry Hill and South Park Drive in Haddon Township.
· Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Cherry Hill and Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Station Avenue and Price Avenue.
Lindenwold
South Jersey Gas will be working on Laurel Road on Monday, September 21, to Thursday, September 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Chews Landing Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road.
Pennsauken
PSE&G will be working on Union Avenue on Thursday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Cedar Avenue and Walnut Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
Voorhees
Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, September 21, to Friday, September 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Cherry Hill and Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
