Following his swearing in today, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Ed Potosnak announced the executive leadership team that will work alongside him to focus on responsive government and affordability for the state’s residents.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Unit is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the suspect depicted in the following video for the incident that occurred on August 31st, 2026 inside of store located on the 5900 block of Haverford Avenue. The suspect entered a commercial establishment located on 5900 Haverford Avenue at 12:08 am and fired a semi-automatic firearm striking the victim in his shoulder.

NFDC Opens with Widespread Collaboration with Inspectors General and Law Enforcement Agencies
Today, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the launch of the National Fraud Detection Center (NFDC), a prosecutor-led, multi-agency team designed to investigate the most harmful actors defrauding federal government programs, including illicit actors overseas and those operating fraud schemes across federal programs. The NFDC will bring together law enforcement agencies and analytical capabilities to generate criminal leads to drive more impactful prosecutions and enhance fraud-fighting results for the American people.

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (Sept. 9, 2026)–For nearly a year, letter carriers assigned to the Riverview Heights section of Gloucester City have continued to stuff mail into the mailbox at 31 Barnard Avenue until it is literally overflowing. The photograph above documents a situation that should have been addressed long ago.
The Camden County Board of Commissioners is alerting residents and business owners of an ongoing investigation into fraudulent invoices sent via email by individuals posing as members of the Camden County Planning Board, Director of Public Works, and Director of Planning. In these emails, the individuals involved in the scam are attempting to solicit funds through wire transfer by directing recipients to send payment to illegitimate accounts.
The Camden County Planning Board, as well as all municipal Planning Boards, will NOT randomly solicit funds through email.
If you receive one of these emails, please DO NOT CLICK on the provided links, call the provided phone number, or email the provided email address on that email. Simply DELETE the email, and if you wish to verify that the Camden County Planning Board or Public Works or Director of Planning are attempting to contact you, call them directly at 856-757-7214.
JUNEAU, Alaska — The Coast Guard concluded its search efforts for three missing boaters following the rescue of one survivor and the recovery of two deceased from the water approximately 4 miles east of St. Lawrence Island, Monday.
A Coast Guard HC-130 Hercules aircrew from Air Station Kodiak located the survivor clinging on the capsized vessel at approximately 3 p.m. and deployed a raft along with survival equipment.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Arctic District command center coordinated the rescue of the survivor with the Northwest Explorer, a nearby good Samaritan vessel.

Joseph E. Worrell passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania on November 4, 1957, Joe was formerly a long-time resident of The Villas.
Dedicated to a life of hard, honest work, Joe spent his career as a carpet layer, taking pride in his trade for decades until his retirement around age 60.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Florence Worrell, his brother Rick Worrell, and his sister Denise Worrell-Schartner.

It gave the packer an unspoken pleasure to look back on a sinuous Sierra snake of eleven animals stretched in a flexible line nearly 150 feet long behind him. And he looked up, straight up on the peaks of Kearsarge where the snow fields always left behind shady patches of dirty white, up where the Inyo moon splashed them with a dream brush and made old secrets come to life.
“You’ve heard of the ghost of Kearsarge,” the old man said. “Everyone knows about her.” The packers at the table at the ranch looked at each other.
“What ghost?” one asked.
