Governor Mikie Sherrill announced the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Major Access Permits (MAP) process will become fully electronic beginning on July 30, 2026.
The transition away from paper applications supports the Governor’s Executive Order 5 (EO-5) to simplify and modernize the State’s regulatory processes to save time and money, and improve affordability, accountability, and transparency.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Taylor Farms also informed FDA that they would initiate a recall. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Consumers should avoid eating shredded iceberg lettuce from Mexico at Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Most people infected with Cyclospora develop diarrhea, with frequent bowel movements. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps/pain, bloating, increased gas, nausea, and fatigue. Vomiting, body aches, headache, and fever may be noted. Some people who are infected with Cyclospora do not have any symptoms. If not treated, the illness can lead to dehydration and severe complications that may require higher levels of care. These complications may last from a few days to a month or longer. Symptoms may seem to go away and then return one or more times (relapse). Immunocompromised persons may experience more severe illness of longer duration along with complications requiring close medical attention.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert Saturday for Southwestern New Jersey. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children…people suffering from asthma… heart disease or other lung diseases…and the elderly.
