TSA launches remote screening pilot program at Boston Logan International Airport

On June 1, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) launched its latest initiative to enhance the traveler experience under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Mullin: a first-in-the-nation remote screening option for passengers flying out of Boston Logan International Airport.

In partnership with the Massachusetts Port Authority, TSA has introduced this innovative pilot program with an inaugural remote terminal in Framingham, Massachusetts. Passengers flying out of Boston Logan on JetBlue or Delta flights between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. are currently eligible for this new experience.

Instead of dealing with traffic at the airport, congestion at the checkpoint, and limited parking, these passengers can instead park at Framingham, check in, go through security, and take a bus directly to the secure side of their terminal.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert Saturday for Ocean County and southeastern Burlington County New Jersey. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children…people suffering from asthma… heart disease or other lung diseases…and the elderly. Route 42 northbound, I-295 northbound, I-76 eastbound lane and ramp closures tonight and tomorrow night in Bellmawr

Overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled on Route 42 northbound, I-295 northbound and I-76 eastbound tonight and tomorrow night for structural steel installation as the Direct Connection project advances in Bellmawr, Camden County. The lane and ramp closures, as well as traffic slowdowns, are necessary to install structural steel. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the work zones.

In addition, the I-295 southbound ramp to Route 42 southbound and I-295 southbound, also known as Al-Jo’s Curve, is scheduled to be closed and detoured tomorrow night.

Governor Meyer Declares Statewide Drought Watch

Governor Matt Meyer has issued a statewide drought watch due to precipitation levels experiencing a steep and steady decline throughout the state for the second time in three years, particularly in Kent and Sussex Counties. The Governor declared a drought watch after receiving guidance from the Delaware Water Supply Coordinating Council (WSCC).

The drought watch is in effect until further notice. During this time, Delawareans are asked to voluntarily reduce outdoor uses of water and practice wise water use in their homes in order to preserve the state’s water resources for more necessary uses.

The Governor’s decision follows a May 26 assessment of drought conditions by the WSCC and the subsequent recommendation from the Governor’s Drought Response Committee on May 29. The council found that the state would need to receive 21 inches of rainfall over the next three months – summer months when evaporation is at its highest – to recharge Delaware’s water supply back to normal levels.

NJ Steps Up Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts During World Cup

Man From Gloucester Township Missing For Over A Week

On Friday, May 29, 2026, at approximately 5:35 p.m., 39-year-old Mark Dorsey was reported missing. Mr. Dorsey was last heard from on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m. His last known location was in the 2000 block of East Huntingdon Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Lower Township Road Closures and Detours

On June 7, 2026, the 13th Annual Escape the Cape Triathlon will take place at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal in Lower Township, NJ. There will be 2 events taking place simultaneously. The ‘Sprint’ triathlon consisting of a .35 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and a 5K run. The ‘Olympic’ triathlon consists of a 1 mile swim, 23 mile bike, and a 5 mile run. All 2,000 athletes will begin the event by leaping off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry into the Delaware Bay and swimming to shore. For the cycling and running portions of the event, there will be road closures and detours.

Ramps to I-676 from Holtec Boulevard eastbound to be closed and detoured overnight this week in Camden

The I-676 northbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured tonight as a bridge replacement and paving project advances in Camden and Gloucester City, Camden County. In addition, the I-676 southbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, Monday, June 1 until 5 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, the Holtec Boulevard eastbound ramp to I-676 northbound is scheduled to be closed. The closures are necessary to place construction barrier for upcoming noise wall demolition. The following detour will be in place:
