Northern Liberties Spring Fest Debuts with Music, Family Fun, Hot Dog Contest

Philadelphia, PA – Northern Liberties Business Improvement District presents the inaugural Northern Liberties Spring Festival presented by Sprouts Farmers Market. The all-ages, all-day celebration will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, at 3rd and Poplar, as well as inside and around Liberty Lands. The line-up will feature two stages, live bands, music and dance performances, food trucks, cold cocktails, made-in-Northern Liberties beers, hot dog eating contest, kids’ yoga, neighborhood small businesses, artists and makers, pet portraits, DIY flower bouquets, make-and-take craft station, and many other surprises. The event is open to the public. Admission is complimentary. Food, drink and shopping are pay-as-you-go. Cherry Blossom Run/Walk Raises Over 60k to Support Cancer Care

On Sunday, April 26, The Jefferson Health Foundation – New Jersey,  hosted 333 participants and raised over $60,000 at the inaugural Cherry Blossom Run/Walk fundraiser benefiting the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New Jersey, helping to expand access to advanced cancer care close to home in Cherry Hill and Washington Township.

Held at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Cherry Blossom Run/Walk participants, made up of individuals, families, teams and four-legged companions, either ran in a 5K or walked a 1-mile course.

“This event brought our mission to life in a visible and meaningful way,” says Tamara LaCouture, MD, East Region Chief of Cancer Services. “Every step taken supported patients who are navigating cancer with strength and resilience.”

New Hope Celebrates May the 4th

New Hope, PA – The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is back with one of the most anticipated events in Bucks County of the year. New Hope will look like a scene from a galaxy far, far away during the return of its annual May the 4th Star Wars-inspired event. This year, the one-day event at a dozen businesses will grow into a giant four-day celebration at a record-breaking 60 businesses, restaurants, bars and other locations. Visitors can move from one storefront to the next, discovering themed cocktails, specialty menus, retail promotions and interactive moments throughout New Hope. Each business brings its own interpretation, creating an experience that feels organic, creative, and constantly evolving as you explore the town.

Brauhaus Schmitz Maifest Spring Festival Takes Over South Street

Philadelphia, PA – Brauhaus Schmitz presents the 13th Annual Maifest spring festival and block party on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Philadelphia’s premiere German restaurant and beer hall will close down South Street at the 700 block for an all day, all ages celebration that will feature authentic German culture, live music, delicious food, and of course, plenty of German beer! The festivities will include Pennsylvania’s largest Maypole, performances by Die Heimatklange Band and United German Hungarian Dance group, Liter Lift Competition, Pig Roast, face painting, flower crowns, keg tapping, games and fun for the whole family.
