The Camden County Office of Emergency Management declared that that Camden County will be under a Code Red Advisory for the following dates and times due to projected dangerously high temperatures by the National Weather Service:

A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children…people suffering from asthma… heart disease or other lung diseases…and the elderly. John Alite, 63, of Englishtown, New Jersey, was arrested on June 19, 2026, and charged with multiple counts of theft by extortion (second degree), corporate misconduct (second degree), usury (second degree), and terroristic threats. It is alleged that Alite made loans in excess of the maximum rate permitted by law and subsequently obtained the property and monies of victims by threatening to commit violent acts.
He is also alleged to have misused his corporation, Straightened-Out Entertainment, Inc., to promote his criminal scheme. Alite is a councilman in Englishtown.

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Doug Collins today announced $33 million in funding for the HUD–Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. Beginning on Wednesday, July 1st, Winslow Township will begin collecting waste from black lid trash toters and all green lid recycling toters, which was previously done by Waste Management. Going forward Winslow Township will now collect all curbside residential waste. We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new role.
There will be no change to the schedule or collection requirements at this time.

Today, Congressman Van Drew announced that South Jersey’s Lake Lenape Dam has won a national competition held by the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) for their highest honor, the 2026 National Dam Rehabilitation Award. The project was made possible after Congressman Van Drew secured $4.6 million in federal funding to replace the deteriorated, high-hazard dam.

Fiona Lockhart, Jenna O’Neill and Madison Rothwein of Rowan have been selected to the 2026 Philly-SIDA Women’s Lacrosse Academic All-Area Team as voted on by the Philadelphia metropolitan area’s 30 sports information offices.
Lockhart, a senior computer science major, was named to the 2026 IWLCA All-Region Second Team and was an All-NJAC First Team selection. She was the Profs’ third-leading scorer with career-highs of 42 goals and 19 assists, which included a performance of five goals and two assists in a win over Montclair State.
She was named to the CSC Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team and is a four-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction, while earning All-NJAC Honorable Mention for the third time.

The product contains eggs, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. A recall was not requested because the product is no longer available for purchase.
