DNREC to Hold First Community Meeting on Chronic Wasting Disease

DNREC will hold the first community meeting about the recent detection of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in Delaware’s white-tailed deer at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 at the Baldcypress Nature Center at Trap Pond State Park in Laurel. For anyone unable to attend the in-person meeting, a virtual option is available.

Camden County provides several ways for residents to stay informed and connected with local government, including this weekly newsletter, social media, and live meetings. Camden County Board of Commissioners and Congressman Donald Norcross will be hosting Town Hall Meetings monthly, creating another level of access and opportunity. The next Town Hall Meeting will be Friday, May15th in Merchantville. If you have any questions, or need assistance, please submit them and we will forward them to the appropriate level of government. Click Here to submit questions.

The Camden County Board of Commissioners holds public Monthly Meetings at 520 Market St, 6th Floor, in Camden. The next Caucus Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May19th, and the Monthly Commissioner Meeting will be held on Thursday, May21st. Statement From NJ Assembly Sponsors on DOJ Lawsuit 

Assembly members Verlina Reynolds-Jackson, Annette Quijano, Alixon Collazos-Gill, Gabriel Rodriguez, and Michael Venezia issued the following statement today on the federal Department of Justice’s lawsuit regarding their bill, A1743, better known as the “Law Enforcement Officer Protection Act.” The bill, signed into law earlier this year, requires law enforcement officers to reveal facial identity during certain public interactions and to present sufficient identification prior to arresting or detaining a person.
